One of the many positives of being a professional photographer in Cardiff is the diversity of the landscape that surrounds you. I was on a recent walk in Cardiff Bay barrage and wandered into a ‘field’ of poppies.

Cardiff Bay barrage is a delightful walk from Penarth, from it’s industrial beauty to the vast Severn Estuary “plains’ it is a source of photographic inspiration.

Having a young boy of three, his energy levels constantly amaze me, so stretching his legs across the barrage, past the sails and into the sandy playground in the bay is a lovely way to spend a Sunday morning.
